World Book Day activities in Primary 1…
We had lots of fun today completing activities linked to the book “Tiddler” by Julia Donaldson.
After reading “Tiddler” we had a fun morning of ocean themed play based learning activities…fishing game, small world play, browsing book table, Tiddler themed doodle desk activities & making Tiddler bookmarks too!
After break, P7 came to read to P1/2 which was such an enjoyable experience for all involved…thank you, P7!
P1 also enjoyed playing “Pass the Parcel” and on each layer of wrapping paper, was a question about our “Tiddler” story. Miss Montgomery was SO impressed with our answers! Congratulations to Georgia…she was the winner of this little game!
Afterwards we completed a “Tiddler” themed reading activity.
After lunch, the whole school came together to see everyone’s costumes and hear who the winners of our “booked potatoes” were - congratulations to Josh in P1 for winning this but Mr Heyburn said it was such a difficult decision! 🤩 Thank you to all who entered this special competition…we were really impressed with ALL of of the entries!
Mia & Alexander were awarded “best dressed in P1” but again, ALL the costumes were brilliant so it was a very difficult decision!
