As part of our WAU topic “Hop into the garden with Peter Rabbit!” Primary 1 have been learning about different insects and animals found in our gardens. 🐝 🐛🦋🐞🪱🐌🦔🐰🐶
The theme for British Science Week this year was “Change and Adapt” so it linked in so well with our topic work!
In P1, we enjoy exploring science questions: Messy couldn’t find his caterpillar friends - the bush where he had left them was now covered with butterflies! Where did the caterpillars go? Primary 1 fluttered off to Okido to find out more about caterpillars turning into butterflies, a process known as metamorphosis - isn’t that a big word when you’re only in Primary 1! Afterwards, Primary 1 made a colourful paper chain caterpillar. We hope that you enjoy watching the little song below! 🌈🐛
We also had a lovely visit from baby Theo and his Mummy and enjoyed hearing all about how he has changed since he was a little baby, about his favourite things and his Mummy answered our many, many questions! Thank you, we had such a lovely time! 👶🏼
