After learning all about rivers with Mr Maybin P7 got the opportunity to put all their knowledge to the test by creating a river that included all of the important features. ⛰ 🌊
In groups the children created the source, the upper course, strong riverbanks, meanders and the river mouth. They added some sand and rocks in the floodplains.
It was a challenge to keep the rivers from bursting their banks when the water 💦 was poured in.
Most of our rivers were successful so Department for Infrastructure here we come!
