In SU, we are learning about the “Fruit of the Spirit” and today the focus was on “joy.” 😁
After a little drink of juice, we started SU with a song called “I’m going to jump up and down!”🧃🎵
Following this, we played a game called “What makes you happy?” 🏀 Then we looked at some very funny photos but we were challenged NOT to laugh, which wasn’t possible for most of us, even the adults! 🤣🤣
Then we watched a little video (which you can watch below!) followed by some discussion work about verses in the Bible that talk about joy. 📖
We also heard a story from the bible about Abraham and Sarah and we discussed how they experienced joy when God blessed them with a son called Isaac, which means “he laughs.”
After singing I’ve got that joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, we made joy lanyards with fruit loops. Some of the lanyards may have been missing some fruit loops by the time the children were getting picked up! 🤭😋
Another really enjoyable and action packed afternoon in SU today! 😁
