Primary 1 have had such a fun day celebrating Hazelbank’s 40th birthday today!
We started the day with a “birthday bounce” on our 2 bouncy castles! After getting a drink to cool down, we decorated some “birthday bunting” with lovely stickers and stamped a ‘40’ with gold paint!
After break, we went on a treasure hunt all around school to find 40 Hazelbank logos…we were so good at finding them all; Miss Montgomery could hardly keep up! Afterwards, we came back to the classroom and played some party games including Pass the Parcel and Musical Chairs.
We were super excited when our special birthday box lunch arrived at the classroom door – it was absolutely delicious! Thank you Mrs Craig and Mrs Simpson!
After lunch, we visited the “Tuck Shop” to purchase some little treats and had some time outdoors in the sunshine participating in “birthday balloon” games.
We have no doubt that you will hear all about the fun activities at home over the weekend and after all the excitement of the day, the children will definitely sleep well tonight!
