'Them Bones, Them Bones'
30th Sep 2019
We built a life sized skeleton from natural resources!
We had an archaeological dig for remains in our classroom sandpit - look at our findings which we ordered according to size.
During table top play we built a skeleton and studied the bones in our bodies.
At the construction station we used fine motor skills to create a working hand, by feeding string through straws and cutting slices which acted as our joints.
We loved using Ipads to capture photos and edit them in the photo booth app to make them look like x-rays.
In partners we used straws to imagine how our skeletons are made up.
We used our story, Funnybones, and scooted to bones in our bodies.
Studying the ice- and trying to free the bones!
Creating finger bones...
A puppert hand completed.
Constructing a model of the back bone and leg bone with playdoh.
